Re: Remote Car Starter 850 1995

Ryan,

I had an aftermarket Viper system (alarm, autostart and keyless entry all in 1) installed in my 1990 740 without a problem. Since the 740 didn't have keyless entry or alarm, it did not interefere with the car's existing electronics. It was great, and worked well.

I am attempting to install the system into my 98 S70 now and I get bad vibes from the dealer, saying that it isn't recommended on the more modern electronics. Of course, the guy at the car shop says that they are quite fine in any car... I am still researching. The delaer says that if Volvo would recommend installing autostarters...don't you thik that they would have them as an option?? Anyhow, once the warranty expires, I'll try having my system installed.

BadBUZz!
