I don't think Bryan means that he's twisting the remote with a torquing motion; I think he's saying that he simply rotates the remote in the air. The forces on the remote unit itself don't change, just its position relative to the car. Is that correct, Bryan?

If that's the case, then I still don't know what to tell you. The remotes on my '98 work really while, while one remote for my '94 will sometimes not work while standing within arm's reach of the car! The other for the '94 will work from further away. The remote that doesn't work well has the newest battery.

One thing I've found rather consistently is that if I hold the remote with the buttons facing me so that the back is facing the car, then touch what is now the top of the remote to the underside of my chin, the range is much larger. Maybe it's all the dental work...or the metal plate in my head :-)
