Re: A ghost in the machine? S70 1998

Brian, I am having a similar problem. For several months now I have been experiencing an extremely reduced range in both remotes. This did not change with fresh batteries. I also find that if I rotate the remote such that the buttons are facing me and the other side of the remote is facing into the driver's side window, then I get about 5 feet of range, otherwise, if I hold the remote below the glass line and come up point blank to the car it still doesn't work no matter how I rotate the thing. I have a dealer appointment for some accumulated warranty things around Thanksgiving and this problem is on my list. We'll see what kind of luck I'll have with it.

In the meantime, let me know if you get any resolution to the problem.

I have posted here several times inquiring about the location of the receiver unit in the car so I could examine the antenna, but got absolutely no guidance.

Good luck.
