Tire Size for 850R 850 97

Hi guys,

I'm currently running 205/45ZR17 i.e. stock tire size on stock R rims. With this, I'm getting wheel spin from standstill to redline in first gear. I admit that the Michelin tires must be shitty.

Anyways, I'm thinking of replacing them with 215/40ZR17. Is this a good size for the R, or shall I stick to 205/45ZR17. I believe 215/45 and 225/40 would rub the front inner fenders on full turn.

Would appreciate any feedback. Thank you very much.

Rgds,
