Re: Tune up tips 850 1996

Harnish, you don't mention how many miles are on your car. A good source of maintanance items is the owners' manual. If you don't have one, you can order it from Volvo or you can go to their website and look at it online. The required maintanance is described in a special boolket that also describes the warranty. Try to get your hands on that and you'll be set. At 30K I replaced spark plugs (I used OEM Volvo since they are cheaper and better than naything else, they were also selected and branded by Volvo to work very well with this engine), air filter, oil, oil filter. I also kicked the tires a few times and looked at all I could look at without removing parts to make sure nothing is cracked, broken or leaking.

Hope that helps.
