I tried and the alarm with the window down and it did not work. I went to the trunk lock and stuck my key and and it wouldn't turn, after a few good wiggles it turned to where it is supposed to be. I tried the window down thing and unlocked the door and the alarm went started sounding. Still no luck with the remote, here is what I am doing so tell me if I'm doing something wrong.
1. Get in the car and lock the doors( windows up).
2. Turn key from off to pos II 5 times.
3. Pressing lock button on remote.
4. Turn key to off.
5. Looking disapointed when it doesn't work
