Re: Differences between '97 and '00 engines 850 1997

Kos, they actually DID give the N/A engine more power with the right hand, but they took it away with the left hand. Here's the story. In MY99 N/A S70 went down to 162HP because of more stringent emmissions. In MY00 they went back up to 168HP with the same stringent emmissions as in MY99. The power "increase" was achieved in part by utilizing the variable valve timing. At least that is my understanding of the story. Please correct me if I am mistaken here.
