HELP MOUSE IN MY ENGINE! S70 1999

Hey guys I have a weird problem. I have a mouse/rat that has been going into my engine compartment at night. I have found some small pieces of food, and some droppings around the bolts on top of the engine(right next to the oil opening on top of the motor). Since I park my T5 outside, I am mainly concerned about possible wire damage that may result from this bastard chewing my wires. Also, I am worried about pieces of Sh*T falling into the engine... Any ideas on how to catch this Son of a Bi**h. I figure I can spread some poison underneath the car?????? Thanks in advance.
