Hello, Was the error you mentioned the "SRS WARNING" or the failure of the CD player to eject or both? Did the words "SRS WARNING" appear in the message window at the lower left of the instrument panel or was it a code (your words) which tripped the check engine light? Did the CD finally eject? Dealerships are frequently assailed on this board but once the assistant SM got back to you he cleared one problem for no charge. Doesn't seem too shabby. Perhaps your calls to the dealer were answered by a careless Summer substitute "secretary". You asked for ideas: 1)Write the owner an organized, brief, clear thank you letter. Mention what was and wasn't addressed. You might be pleasantly surprised. 2)See if the CD player in your '01 has an accessable circuit breaker. Go in to register yourself as the new owner of the car and ask if it has such a breaker. Kira
