climate control- fan 850 1995

Hi, need help with my climate control fan. My car is equiped with the variable speed setup not stepped(1,2,3,4) On hot days if I switch the fan on it would come one for a couple of seconds - say up to 1 min. It stops then and won't come on until I switch the ignition completely off. I've checked the fan and the bushes and brushes looks ok. Any ideas where to start looking/ fixing?
