Front end hum ??? V70-XC70

I have a 1998 v70 with about 135,000 miles. Recently I have noticed a "hum" coming from the right front end. It is not engine related because it does not change pitch when I put the car in neutral and rev the engine. I hear it most between 30 and 50 mph and varies when I accelerate and brake. The hum brings to mind when I would put snow tires, on my car years ago, and drive on dry pavement. Does anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks, John
