Re: poor interior heating system S70 1998

Andre, in my experience with the many cars I have owned, my current car, Volvo S70 is by a long shot the FASTEST to warm up during cold weather (I am not in Canada, but here in New England it easily gets to subzero temperatures and that's in Farenheit). Something must be wrong with yours. The other posts have very good leads and I would investigate the bad thermostat theory and the fresh air damper theory if I were you. Also, you should really time how long it REALLY takes to get warmed up instead of relying on the emotional "seat of the pants" measurement. I know when it's cold, even a minute without heat seems like an hour.

Good luck and stay warm.
