heater problems 850 93

I have a problem with my climate control system. Sunday, blowing very hot air, even when I have the temp dialed back to mid 60 degrees. Last night no warm air at all, blowing COLD air. This morning some warm air, but the rec light and the AC light were both blinking?? very strange. I nervous that this is going to cost big $$, like everything else that's gone bad on this car. (transmission, AC system, steering rack etc....)

So, should I start with the thermostat?

Thanks,

Scott
