I'm scared about pulling out my heater hose o-rings cause I can't see much 850 1995

I did get this kit from the dealer:

No o-rings came out when I removed the 2 heater hoses from the firewall.

It's hard to see what is in there , no wonder the new parts are yellow.

I did find this tip when doing a search:
and gently use a pick or similar to pull them out if retained in the heater core.

So I guess it's a matter of 'no gutts no glory'.
