No air to footwell vents 850 1997

I have the automatic climate control system in my 850R wagon, and I'm not getting any air through the footwell vents, irrespective of the settings of the fan, air outlet selector or temperature. I assume that either the vent flap is stuck, the connection to the flap motor(s) is faulty, there is a mechanical fault in the flap motors or linkage, or finally, there is a heater control problem. Any idea how I can diagnose what this is likely to be? Anyone had anything similar? I'm hoping that this isn't a dash-out job!

Thanks,

Andrew
