Mike,

Where in CA do you live? If we're close, I'm in the Palm Springs to Redlands area, maybe we can do the socket replace together? I've got limited board expereince, but have done enough that I'd feel comfortable exploring doing it myself. I also have a very good electronics guy that I use for all my A/V work.

I'd be happy to write up a full report of the experience and the performance. I also plan on dyno'ing the thing once done.

I believe you're right on the octane ratings too.
