To add to that. In the Porsche world there are two types.

Those that earn speed

Those that purchase speed

to echo rehsper learn your skills first.

Find your local Porsche Club of America (PCA) run one season of their Autocross. Get people to ride with you and coach you. It will improve your skills beyond your wildest dreams!
Then, as Klaus is suggesting, once you can drive the car at the max... AND HOLD IT THERE buy more speed.
