Dashboard Repair and Connection 850 1996

I just bought a 1996 850 non-turbo to add to my collection, and the dashboard is loose. I haven't gotten too far in diagnosing the problem yet, but its much looser on the passenger side and sits a little tighter on the driver side, though I think that could be from the steering column. Are there any good "how-to's" the community could recommend. I haven't done a dashboard before.

There are 2 other problems I am correcting before putting it on the road - radiator replacement (non-related) and AC not kicking in (possibly related to the dash issue). The guy I bought it from said he had the AC compressor replaced by a shop a few years back and sometime after that the dashboard suddenly came loose. The shop he had taken it to claimed no responsibility for the dash trouble.

Currently the compressor does not appear to be working and it does not take coolant. Again, I haven't gotten too far on the diagnosis, as I just bought it yesterday. I am reading the July 2009 thread started by Oldariel, but appreciate any other ideas also. Thanks for the help.
