Window safety adjustment XC90 2005

Our 2005 S80 does that on the drivers window. I tried putting the button through a reset routine that my local Volvo indy mechanic told me about - it didn't help.

Then it stopped doing it for a few months after I had the battery disconnected for another repair (long story). I don't know if disconnecting the battery actually "recalibrated" it or if it was just coincidence. Now it has started doing the same thing again a couple weeks ago. I see no obstruction in the track.

It makes it inconvenient to pick up fast food. (Fumbling for Big Mac money while holding the button down.) Maybe I'll try Klaus' reset method that he used on his German car. If no luck maybe I'll try disconnecting the battery again.

Question: Let's say your window is at half mast to begin with. When you hit "auto-up" does it go up and then ALL THE WAY back down, or does it just go back down to the half mast spot where it started? That's what mine does.
