Re: engine service light 850 95

Dan, unfortunately based on the year of your car this is true. 850's from mid 95' to 97' require that a scan tool be connected to the OBDII port and the service light be cleared. You can purchase one of these scan tools yourself (I think they are a little pricey) or if you are pretty friendly with your dealership or an independant shop, maybe they would give you a free service light turn off. I have seen other's post that they put tape over the light, or try to defeat it in other ways. Good luck!
