Re: ABS/TRAC problem 850 96R

The part number is actually on the bottom of the black box, so you probably need to have eyes on stalks or you need to take it off to get at it.

I really don't know what units are compatible with others. I would assume that a 96 with tracs/abs is likely compatible with another of the same year and setup, but you never know. You'll really need the part number to make sure. I wouldn't advise spending $300+ without double checking

Lastly, I agree with others on the board, go with new on this one. With the core charge deducted, the new one is about $20 more than one from a recycler...

FYI, I've researched this a bunch, tried repairs and replacements of the sensors too... now I'm saving my pennies to buy a new one.
