Dave mine just happend the same past week.. it was a PNP switch....

the switch cost $80 tax included.... but my problem went away the following 2 days.. so I have not replace it ... but I have the part...

like Ray said go to BAY13 it show you all the detail how to replace this switch yourself... with color picture and all... YOU OWN THIS TO YOURSELF

You can see the switch main bolt and nut>> if you are looking at it.. under the battery tray...

the job is not hard... It will be hard and you hate life it you have to paid for a new Transmission without doing all the work that you are possibly can ....

If this is me this is what I do..

1. flush the transmission

2. Replace the PNP switch.

I am not a machanic my english is poor but BAY 13 and this board have saving thoundsand $$$$ Good luck please let us know what happen...
