I don't know how much help it will offer but here is my $0.02.

Back in July I replaced spark plugs, cleaned distributor cap and rotor on my 98 V70. A week later got 433 which is rear knock sensor. Reset it but got it again in November. While resetting Volvo tech suggested that the code sometimes caused by ignition system performance. Two weeks ago I replaced ditributor cap and rotor and so far so good. BTW, the old cap and rotor had 100,000 km of use.
