855 new bilstein tc's sitting funny rear is wild! 850

Hello All,

so I wrestled off the original shocks and struts after lots of heat from the torch and everything went back together...

The trouble is the front went up 3 inches, which I expected, but the rear only went up a bit.

The front is tight and feels a world apart from the old 255k mile shocks, but the rear is too loose? It almost seems like the rear is worse than before; and the clunk in the rear is still there- just not as loud.

So what to do? Do I add some washers to the rear to take up some room and silence the clunking sound?

Do I buy new rear coils? I don't think I want to go and buy HD rears?

I also liked how low the car was with the blown shocks, but I don't want it to drive like a truck?

Any and all ideas welcome!

Cheers,

greendread
