Scissor jack recommendation 850 1996

The jack mounting point on the right side of my 850 is bent. The Volvo-friendly body shop mechanic told me that a tow truck operator most likely did it. He also said that it was not worth the hassle of fixing it - he quoted me "well over $500" to have it fixed by welding a new one in. I do not feel like simply bending it right back.

So now I'd like to get a decent scissor jack. I do not really want to carry a bulky hydraulic jack. I bought "Larin" brand from Northern Tools and it's a piece of junk. It is rated for 2.5 ton but extremely hard to operate and it would probably not even fit under the car if the front tire got flat.

A friend of mine with a BMW 528 had a very nice one (original) and I was lucky he was around when I got a flat. It is similar to Volvo jack; it just has a piece of flat plastic to fit anywhere on the body underside.

Do you have any recommendation on the jack and where to get it? I was even thinking of getting another original Volvo jack and somehow adapting it's mounting point (top) but I do not want to take chance of it collapsing.

Thank you,

Peter
