More details on tricky part.... V70-XC70 2001

One more detail, when you pry the top of the climate unit outwards, you're placing the screwdrivers from the sides, not against the radio. The 2 plastic tools are left in between both units prying the climate unit downwards (about a 1/8"-1/4" gap) before you pry the top outwards. If this is done right, the climate unit just releases from the two clips. If not done right and forced, you'll break something, usually the plastic at the top of the climate unit in an area that you can't see but it then doesn't go back together correctly and the clips will also be bent.

All in all, I wouldn't advise removing one of these radios unless you really have to.
