Sorry to hear of your problems...

I've had a similar instance with an E-bay pruchase, not the same person - for the record. I had great results getting my money back after I notified Paypal. At least you have that as a form of protection!! I bet you are glad you didn't just send him cash or a money order eh??

Again, it is hard to trust anyone on an online transaction, and the age old rule of buyer beware applies as much now as it ever did.
