Rough Start 850 1993

'93 850 GLT - 217k miles.

The last few times I've tried to start my car, it has been very rough and I have had to tap the gas pedal a little bit to get it to fully turn on and go into idle.

Today, it took me about 10 minutes of turning the ignition and playing with the gas pedal to get the engine to finally catch and remain on. Once it was on, I drove it around for 5 minutes or so with no problems whatsoever. The engine ran smooth and the acceleration and power were normal.

When I got back home, I turned the car off and let it sit for 1-2 minutes. After this period, I had no problem turning the engine back on. It was able to start up as if nothing had ever been wrong.

Given the fact that it ran smooth once fully started, I don't believe it to be the fuel pump. The fact that it is able to start up with no issues once the engine has warmed up leads me to think it may be the cold start injector/valve.

Can anyone back me up on this? Does anyone know anything about replacing/repairing this? How much for the part and how long will this take me (assuming it is do-able for an amateur like myself)?

I found no fault codes in the engine, by the way.

Thanks
