No NEED! 850 96R

Take yet another look at your intercooler! It IS located IN FRONT OF your AC condensor AND radiator, not behind either SO it's getting maximum cool airflow as designed, just as is the case with ALL turbo Volvos.

Don't even think about relocating it as it won't help, plus you'll never get hoses to fit as your existing hoses are unique, can't just by that stuff in bulk from ANY parts store. Other cars might have them in different locations because there's probably no room for it in front of the AC condensor, not because the other manufacturers knew of a better location. You can't beat its present location.

Also, don't waste your time trying to spray water, freon or any other silly idea to cool the intercooler, not worthwhile. To test the idea, try noticing if the car goes ALOT faster when driving in the rain (assuming you still have traction) as cool water will then be misting down your intercooler. I doubt you'll notice anything remarkable.
