You better double check your information regarding the location of the intercooler relative to the evaporator and the radiator. Unless you have a freak 850, your intercooler isn't in front. I think it is you that should "take yet another look."

Also, when it rains, the amount of water that actually enters the evap/rad/intercooler is very minute. The amount of water delivered in a water injection device is many times that. Hell, go for a hard run, stop the car in your driveway leaving the car running to prevent stress on the oil and turbocharger, and hose down the rad area, tell me how much steam you see. It makes a much bigger difference then you think.

After exiting the turbocharger, the air in the intercooler is often in the high 200 degree celcius range. And a good water injection system will dump liters of water within 1 minute of full boost.

I would've left your incorrect description of the orientation of the intercooler alone, but some of your other comments made not replying to your incorrect statements impossible.
