Tailpipe shape 850 1994

I know this sounds strange, but I like the shape of the original tailpipe on the mighty 855T. Its kind of a rounded rectangle. Or at least the rusted outline is kind of a rounded rectangle (grins).

Volvo Canada only has a single round or twin pipe tailpipe and I like neither.

I've seen reference to the Starla replacement as being rectangular. Is it like my original or a more boxy rectangle.

Oh, and why would they have put a rustable tailpipe onto a stainless exhaust (or so I believe it to be...).
