My experience is - spraying water on the condenser/IC/rad DOES actually keep the engine cooler. everytime i spray water in that direction, the temp gauge on the dash takes a longer time to rise to mid-level (I live in the tropics, temps are 25-34 deg C all year round).

so i think it IS worthwhile - at least in places with my kinda ambient temps - installing a IC spray (don't you just love the tech name "Intercooler Optimiser"!) using windshield washer nozzles aimed at the IC. havent gotten down to it yet, but it's a thot.

as for water inj, i have the Spearco WI kit installed on my ride. nope, i just DID NOT discern any improvement in pick up or outright performance. initially i used distilled water, then a mix of 60/40 dist water/spirit. no diff in throttle response. what DID make a MAJOR difference is fuel consumption - previously i averaged mebbe some 400km on full tank in mixed/town driving. highway mebbe 480km. recently i got 567km on a full tank (with fuel warning lite on and "50km left" reading on the digital readout). for this experiment, the first 1/3rd of the tank was town driving, latter 2/rds highway, with 2 adult pass, my kid and a boot/trunk full of luggage. i think if i went all the way h/way drive, i wd hit 600km.
