2002 S80 Power Steering Pump S80

Just got cold here in the midwest and noticed some noise coming from the area around the PS pump. It initially sounds like "marbles" but when I drive a few miles, the noise goes away. I'm thinking the PS pump. Did not use a screwdriver or wooden dowel yet but the noise goes away above idle. Serpentine belt put on 30K miles ago, timing belt at 85K. 129K miles on her now. Thoughts??
