Help - Car wont start, stuck at work. 850

Help, help...

Before I called the tow truck and my wife to pick me up, I thought I'd check to see if this is just some simple immobilizer stunt.

My car won’t start. Initially I got the dash lights and LCD without it starting, then the second try all the dash lights came on with LCD gibberish and the third time it all went blank with nothing coming up.

No alarm or anything. Also, the door locks stop working when this happens. The battery and connections are fine as are fuses. I checked all that.

Here's how it happened. I was trying different ECU chips and had disconnected the battery and pulled the ECU to swap chips. Upon putting the ECU back in with the original Volvo chip and then reconnecting the battery the whole thing quit. As described above, initially I got the dash lights and LCD without it starting, then the second try all the dash lights came on with LCD gibberish and the third time it all went blank with nothing coming up.

Help, help.

Scott
