Trick to prevent future bolt rusting / freezing? 1993

Since corrosion IS a problem you want to avoid anything that will aggravate the problem.
That means anything that is electropositive to aluminum alloys, which would invite galvanic
corrosion of the aluminum. Since aluminum corrosion products occupy about 30 times the volume
of the aluminum that was corroded away, corrosion of aluminum threads is a real problem!
(Since aluminum is an active metal, nearly ALL common metals are electropositive to it.
So is graphite and Moly disulfide.)
A couple things that might help would include plumber's teflon tape and heavy grease.
