Stupid Tracs/ABS light... S70 1998

I have a 1998 S70 T5. After starting the car today, the tracs and abs lights came on the dashboard and will not go out. All the fuses look fine. The interesting thing is that the Tracs "button" doesn't do anything. The green LED in the Tracs button does not light up. I have no idea what is going on. Help! Is there a way for me to pull the codes out of the computer (without a code puller)? From other posts it looks like I can "test" the switches and sensors. How is this accomplished? Thanks. Jim B.
