S70 no start, recent new battery etc S70 1998

A month or so ago, someone rear-ended our 1998 S70 and we decided to take the insurance $$ and not repair the bumper, because the list of things is long enough on this car now that we don't want to put any more money into it. So bearing that in mind...

The car has 173k miles on it. Last year the battery was replaced. This summer I did the spark plus, rotor, distributor cap and SP wires - all OEM new. The lambda light has been on a while I keep clearing the codes but it comes back. FIxed a vacuum light but bad exhaust smell tells me that the O2 sensor is probably bad. THe car is only being used to drive around town these days we use the S40 on the highway mostly.

THe past week or 2 I have noticed hesitation before starting, and I also noticed when I drove it on the highway Monday that I got a hesitation a few times in 5th gear when speeding up (manual trans).

So, do you think this is the fuel pump, clogged fuel filter? Alternator? How can I find out? I don't have jumper cables or the other car here husband is out all day with the other car. Oh yeah and I have a bad cold and I just wanted to drive to the drug store for some cold medication so I can feel better!
