Cabin Air Filter 850 97

I'm not Volvo Master Mechanic yet, but I'm getting closer every day with the help of you folks. Anyway, I searched the archives and found a partial answer, but it didn't give me a clear picture of what I need. My question is...

How do I change the cabin air filter in a 97 850? Do I go in in front of the windshield under the hood (if so, where), or is the access under the passenger side dash?

Thanks for your patience with all us "newbies."
