timing belt S70 1999

Okay, I bought the 99 S70 AWD w/47049 miles without your comments or suggestions (see last post). Very very clean. Took it to local import shop I have confidence in and it checked out fine. Advice was standard volvo fare that you read on these pages, fuel filter, transmission fluid timing belt maintenance on the horizon. I get the fuel filter and transmission flush but T-belt service at 47k. I always thought they were a 105k item.

Does age of the t-belt really matter? Is it nylon, or a composite of steel/nylon??
