Fuel Pump Relay Quick Question!

Now before anything is said, it has a new pump, filter, and about 5 feet of line. It seems as the relay is going in and out, have already re solder everything and replaced the capacitors. If I jump it out, works fine. I'm just wondering since I watched the relay click on and off as the car was idling, thought all my connections were clean also. But the fact the relay has a freaking I/C makes me wonder if it does other things...
