Caution! 850 1995

Your ABS/SRS are not related other than "possibly" a problem with your ignition switch. Once the car starts, if you turn the key slightly counter-clockwise (towards off) do the lights then go off? I've seen that happen.

SRS is not a system that anyone w/o training should attempt to mess with. That code means that there's a problem with your drivers side (steering wheel) air bag circuit and it "could be" your steering wheel contact reel or possibly the bag itself. To properly diagnose this you need a special resistor tool only availble from Volvo used with the bag removed. Whatever you do, do NOT use an ohm meter to test the circuit with the bag still plugged in or it'll BLOW! 9 volts blows them.

What are your ABS codes?
