High Mileage: Good Buy? 850 1996

Am considering buying a '96 850 non-turbo wagon. It has 125K miles on it. The price seems reasonable. The car looks good inside and out. Ran well when we took a long test drive. Owner is a very honest garage and used car (mostly Volvos)dealer so there's no problem there. We like the car because we've had lots of 740s and a 240 that will all seemingly run forever. The 850 appeals because it's newer and has front and side airbags...features we want without buying something new. I'm wondering whether the 850 should still have lots of miles left, or whether we should wait for something with lower mileage to come along? Will appreciate hearing from anyone with knowledge of higher mileage 850 performance and durability.
