Brake Lights S60 2001

i have a S-60 2001 volvo. my brake light was coming on all the time and blowing bulbs left and right. i would change them one at a time. next, i notice that i had another blown brake bulb and the brake light would come on. so, i asked my volvo mechanic friend about this problem and he told me-when you blow one brake light on a S-60,you must change all the other brake light bulbs also with high rated bulbs-not cheap bulbs from your auto parts store. i thought that he was full of it.anyway,i broke down and did what he said to do about changing all the bulbs at one time. to my surprice- he was right. it has been a year since i have had a blown brake bulb. who would think that a person would have to change all the brake light bulbs to get this problem to work. no problems now.
