What do you mean by "where the loaners are coming from". Typically, they are cars taken out from stock and are registered, with Volvo, as loaners. The agreement between Volvo and the Retailer is that they must stay in service for 4 months or 6,000 miles, whichever comes first. The number of cars that a Retailer can have for that period must not exceed 4% of the planned annual volume. For example, if a Retailer has an agreed upon planned volume of 800 cars, then the maximum amount of loaners that particular Retailer can carry is 32. When these cars retire, they are sold at a discounted price since the warranty is already 4 months old and they have about 6,000 miles on the clock. But the title has never been turned over so they are sold as new cars.
