Service light and Check engine light both on at almost same time. 850 1995

Buy the 850 Haynes repair manual. It has a complete list of the codes you might find.

To reset the Service Light do the following: From an old IPD Tech tip:
Turn the key to on position so all warning lights light up
Locate test port "A" behind the passenger light compartment
Remove the cover and pull out the test lead.
Insert test lead in terminal 7 Push button 4 times wait about 5 seconds and red lamp should glow continuously. You are now in data reset mode.
Push button 1 time and wait 5 seconds for light to glow again then push the button 5 times. After 5 seconds the light will glow again. Push the button one more time.....the light will flash repeatedly indicating the light has been reset. If it doesn't, try repeating the whole process turning the key off and on again.

Light comes on every 10,000 miles or so many hours.
You use this same port to read your codes. Haynes explaines this.
