Volvo Buying Question

I would stay away from the R since the 98 has the outdated/primative AWD system that will cure you of ever buying a volvo again. Sounds like you are on a budget so stick with FWD. Buy yourself a copy of Consumer Reports to locate which Volvo models/years have offered the best reliablity. S60s are great from 2004 on, but if you need a wagon then go for a V70 2004 or later.
