Service light and Check engine light both on at almost same time. 850 1995

Klaus,
I wrote you while back about my early 850 turbo,1995. Traction light and ABS light going on now and then. Now we have the arrow Shift light flashing, check engine and service light, ABS traction light problem. The shop has checked everything out(of course some thing is not right) but he can not get the service light to go out and the check engine light comes on right away then when you drive it the Traction light and ABS comes on. Before we condemn the shop this guy is a good volvo guy he has worked on my 145 740t and this 850 for years. But now he is stumped. He has called Volvo and they have not been able to help him fix it. My explanation may not be good enough, I can get more information from him as to what has been checked.
