850 Paint Job is Miserable 850 1994

I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. I am the second owner of a 1994 Green (not turquoise) 850. The guy I bought it from definitely did not wax this car and it probably spent the majority of its time outside (I'm in NJ). When I bought it I had it detailed and the guys were just like, "There was so much oxidation, it turned all of our pads green!" Well every time I wash and wax it, I have the same experience. I've actually had to dedicate all of the pads and towels to that car. I keep thinking that one of these days I'm just going to hit bare metal. I really don't think the detailers did anything, I've use them before, they use top quality products and routinely do very, very, very expensive cars. It is almost as if the car never had any clear coat. Even though it was outside, I've known plenty of cars where a good wash and wax and you'd never know it spent a day outdoors.

Has anyone had this happen? I guess I'm looking at a paint job.

-Dave
