Is the 96 850 a good year/model?? 850

Absolutely. Make sure it has been well taken care of, and maintenance records are a definite selling point. It has all the exact same problems of the S/V70 with the exception of the annoying door panels peeling off, so you probably know what to look for! Check for a clogged PCV system, strange wear patterns on the tires, and the transmission fluid. Give the brakes a good stomp and make sure the ABS system still works.

I also kinda doubt that's the actual mileage on it. You can pull this from the OBD computer, but the odometer gears commonly break in the 850 series
