Thanks much for your tips and story. :-)

It is too late for me to have another oil change since we will hit the road in early tomorrow morning. The previous change (10w-30, mobil one) was about a month ago so it should be still fine now. I will let the car to warm up a bit before driving. I will pick up some items you mentioned at gas stations along the way.
